2025–26 ASEAN Club Championship group stage
The 2025–26 ASEAN Club Championship group stage will begin on August 2025 and will end on February 2026. A total of 12 teams will compete in the group stage to decide the 8 places in the knockout stage of the 2025–26 ASEAN Club Championship.
Bangkok United, Thep Xanh Nam Dinh, Johor Darul Ta'zim and Selangor made their debut appearance in the group stage.
Draw
The draw for the group stage was held on 4 July 2025,[1] 18:00 ICT, in Bangkok, Thailand. The 12 teams were drawn into two groups of six. For the draw, the teams were seeded into six pots, each of two teams, based on the following principles:
- Pot 1 contained the ASEAN Club Championship title holders.
- Pot 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 contained the remaining teams.
Teams from the same association could not be drawn into the same group. Play-off winners may be placed on the last group.

- 2 winners of the play-off round.

Format
In each group, teams played against each other in a single round-robin format. The top four teams of each group advanced to the quarter-finals, while the remaining two teams were eliminated from ASEAN club competitions for the season.
Tiebreakers
The teams were ranked according to points (3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss). If tied on points, tiebreakers were applied in the following order:
- Points in head-to-head matches among tied teams;
- Goal difference in head-to-head matches among tied teams;
- Goals scored in head-to-head matches among tied teams;
- If more than two teams were tied, and after applying all head-to-head criteria above, a subset of teams were still tied, all head-to-head criteria above were reapplied exclusively to this subset of teams;
- Goal difference in all group matches;
- Goals scored in all group matches;
- Penalty shoot-out if only two teams playing each other in the last round of the group are tied;
- Disciplinary points (yellow card = 1 point, red card as a result of two yellow cards = 3 points, direct red card = 3 points, yellow card followed by direct red card = 4 points);
- Drawing of lots.
